Diversity and Inclusivity

Telkom University is one of the private universities that has students, lecturers to academic staff from almost all corners of the country. An inclusive environment and various diversity make Telkom University in the public spotlight, ranging from parents, students, to lecturers who want to register themselves and their children to join Telkom University. Lecturers and students come from various islands, tribes and also different cultures ranging from the island of Aceh to Papua which is now a unit, namely the big family of Telkom University. Telkom University students come from 33 provinces in Indonesia.

Regional SMEs

Indonesia's cultural diversity can be seen through various regional cultures that develop in the community. The variety of regional origins of students provides motivation to a group of students from the same area by creating a community or student activity unit to reunite students from one region studying at Telkom University. This regional UKM also usually contains student associations from various regions of origin throughout Indonesia. As a young generation, Telkom University students have a role to increase nationalism because it contains social values and is a challenge to maintain and inherit to the next generation. In this UKM, students will learn various cultures and exchange knowledge about the culture of the region of origin. Through Regional UKM, students can concentrate on improving the quality of coaching in the world of art and culture from their region and channel students' interests and hobbies in the arts,

Disability Facilities

Not spared from the attention of the campus, friends who have physical limitations have also been given special facilities while studying at Telkom University. Friends in wheelchairs do not need to worry, because the campus has provided wheelchair access to lecture buildings, mosques and so on. In addition, Telkom University also has special parking and toilet facilities for people with disabilities so that it will make it easier for friends with disabilities. Learning system support is also made to provide comfort for friends with disabilities. The learning system facilities are 'Buddy' Community, Counseling Services, Friendly User Interface, Learning System with Disability Specific Inclusive Curriculum and Disability Access Map. These facilities are made so that comfort while studying at Telkom University is maintained. This facility will continue to grow along with the needs of friends who have limitations.

Scholarship Program

In addition to facilities for disabilities, Telkom University is also very concerned about the limited costs of students so that a scholarship program is provided for students who are less fortunate and have talents, interests and strong determination to study at Telkom University. Various types of scholarships given are full and partial scholarships. Scholarships are given from various internal and external parties. Internal parties usually provide scholarships to students who have competition achievements by providing scholarships for cutting tuition fees with a certain amount according to the level of achievement. Here is the list of scholarships provided:

  1. Telkom University Scholarship, is a scholarship program intended for prospective new Telkom University students who want to study at Telkom University which can be obtained through several scholarship channels such as the Excellence Achievement Track (JPU), Academic Achievement Track (JPA), Best 3, etc.
  2. Competition Scholarship, is a scholarship intended for high school / vocational / MA students throughout Indonesia. The Scholarship Track is a selection path through an online test.
  3. Religious Scholarship, is a scholarship for students who have religious achievements or are active in spiritual management both for Islam, Protestantism, Catholicism, Hinduism, Buddhism and Confucianism from high school, vocational school, and equivalent.
  4. Religious Scholarship, is a scholarship for students who have religious achievements or are active in spiritual management both for Islam, Protestantism, Catholicism, Hinduism, Buddhism and Confucianism from high school, vocational school, and equivalent.
  5. Telkomsel Ikatan Dinas Scholarship, is a scholarship intended for high school / vocational / MA students throughout Indonesia. This scholarship is only open for a few majors, namely S1 Informatics, S1 Information Systems, and S1 Visual Communication Design.
  6. APERTI BUMN Scholarship, is a scholarship organized by the Alliance of Higher Education (APERTI) BUMN, namely Telkom University (TEL-U), PLN College of Engineering (STT PLN), Pertamina University (UP), College of Logistics Management (STIMLOG) Semen Indonesia International University (UISI), Poltek POS, BRI Institute of Technology and Business (BRI Institute), and Telkom Institute of Technology Surabaya (ITTS).
  7. KIP Kuliah Merdeka Scholarship, is a scholarship selection path held for high school / vocational / MA students who have economic limitations but excel to continue their studies at university.
  8. IDCloudhost Scholarship, is a scholarship organized by IDCloudhost in collaboration with Telkom University.
  9. West Java Student Council Forum Scholarship, is a scholarship specifically intended for student council administrators throughout West Java.
  10. OSC Scholarship, is a scholarship program held in collaboration with Medcom. OSC itself (Online Scholarship Competition) is the first online scholarship competition in Indonesia held by news & video sites Medcom.id.
