Some advantages of Telkom University
Superior Accreditation
Telkom University successfully achieved Superior accreditation, and became the first Private University (PTS) in Indonesia to achieve Superior accreditation. The meaning of Superior accreditation itself is that when universities succeed in obtaining superior accreditation, it can be said that the university is very good about the achievements in it and has exceeded the National Higher Education Standards in Indonesia.
Best Private University
Telkom University won the title as the best Private University (PTS) No. 1 from the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia two years in a row in 2019 and 2020. Higher Education Ranking focuses on indicators or assessments based on Output – Outcome Base, namely by looking at Input Performance with a weight of 45% which includes Input (20%) and Process (25%) performance, and Output Performance with a weight of 55% which includes Output Performance (25%), and Outcome (30%). Based on these assessment indicators, Telkom University excels in terms of outcomes, namely in the performance of innovation and community service, the number of citations and patents per lecturer and the percentage of absorption of graduates by industry within 6 months.
Indonesia Innovation Award
Telkom University became the only Private University that won an award in the field of innovation, namely Widyapadhi in 2018 and 2019 for the innovation management category, and in 2020 won the Indonesian Innovation Award for the Innovation Management category. Anugerah Widyapadhi is an award for the achievements of universities in building an Innovation System through strengthening policies, institutions, resources, and innovation networks to produce innovative products.
Standalone Cluster
Telkom University is again ranked best from the Ministry of Research and Technology / National Research and Innovation Agency (Research and Technology / BRIN), where Telkom University has been included in the Independent Cluster (Highest) for Research Performance of the Ministry of Research and Technology. This result will have an impact on research budget quotas, decentralization fund management in accordance with the research master plan of each university, a map of capacity building program needs per cluster, and research management mechanisms.
UI Green Metric
Telkom University managed to achieve a prestigious ranking as the 9th greenest campus in Indonesia and is in the 123rd position in the world in the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings 2020. UI GreenMetric is a UI innovation that has been widely known internationally as the first university ranking in the world based on high commitment in campus environmental management. The UI GreenMetric 2020 assessment is based on three pillars, namely Environment, Economy, and Social with the weight of assessment indicators consisting of Campus State and Infrastructure (15 percent), Energy and Climate Change (21 percent), Waste Management (18 percent), Water Use (10 percent), Transportation (18 percent), and Education and Research (18 percent).
Community Service is Very Good
As a university that upholds its Tri Dharma, namely Education, Research and Community Service, in the field of community service, based on the ranking given by the Ministry of Research and Technology that Telkom University succeeded in occupying a very good title in the ranking of universities based on community service performance for the 2016-2019 period.
ISO 21001:2018 Educational Organizations Management
Telkom University successfully achieved ISO 21001:2018 certification on May 20, 2021 from the British Standards Institution (BSI).
QS Stars
Telkom University won Five Stars (5 Stars) from the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) assessment in 2020 which covers the fields of Teaching, Employability, Academic Development, Facilities, Inclusiveness. Through the QS World University Rankings (WUR) ranking. Telkom University achieved an overall score of 8.1. This makes Tel-U included in the top 9 leading universities in Indonesia. The results of the score above are based on several assessments including: Academic Reputation (5); Empoyer Reputation (6.2); Cititation per Faculty (1.3); Faculty Student (24); International Faculty (4.8); and International Students (2.4).
